why use writely ? Why can’t you just use open office if the functionality of writely is enough for you ? I feel google should push for Open Office client and web version, not some tool like writely

Hey Venakt,
What if this is a Google version of OpenOffice, served for Enterprises, and Writley for Internet end users, who do not need all the functionality of an Office app. As you demonstrated in the xForms article, clearly, this is a work in progress for realising Complete Hosted software dream, which involves a lot of work, as mentioned by you. That can be realised thru Open Standards and XML.
This, i reckon, is the way Google is moving towards their Enterprise apps startegy, what better way than to test the water with Mozilla. And finally hit MSFT below the belt.
