Came across couple of interesting blogs, one from MSN Mail beta team and another review of Yahoo Mail beta with lotsa of screen shots here.
Yahoo beta looks very impressive and I feel its going to win hands down against Gmail, simply because the UI is something the users are familiar with and can find their way through it very easily. Users who are on their way transitioning from Yahoo Mail to Beta can turn back and wait for Yahoo Beta to be released to general public. My initial impression is , there is no learning curve involved and the UI is slick .
As for people like me, well I am a Gmail convert and I have got used to not using my mouse while using Gmail. Also the neatly organized threads have really changed the way I deal with mails from the various e-groups that I am active on, I guess I am never gonna go back. I just wish google can quickly integrate calendar and other stuff with Gmail.
